Championing music at Hurstmere School

Studiofix pupils are given the opportunities to develop and foster their musical knowledge and capabilities.  Our aim is to provide the prospect of engagement for those who may not have thought to access music prior to secondary school.

At the heart of Studiofix is the desire to motivate pupils to develop ownership of their own music, which leads to high quality professional outcomes. Our artists are progressing continually and we are constantly surprised at the developing talents of pupils.

Studiofix encourages soloists, musicians, bands and has an award-winning and evolving choir, Harmony Army. A weekly timetable allows pupils allocated time with an experienced

professional team.

Studiofix has been part of some amazing opportunities, including performances at iconic venues as The Royal Albert Hall, London’s Royal Festival Hall and City Hall. Annual participation in Music for Youth’s regional and national festivals has given our pupils amazing goals to aspire to and achieve.

A commission in 2019 to write and record a song in support of the 40th anniversary of The Alzheimer’s Society 40th provided ‘Here I Am’ with the chance to fundraise for the charity.   The song is available to download on iTunes, Spotify, Google Play and Amazon Music.

Our famous ‘Chicken Shop’ song provided The Gas Tanks with the opportunity to support Madness at their annual 'House of Fun' weekend in 2017. Performances at The Jack Petchey Awards and The Hackney Empire “G2M  Live” competition earned further positive reactions and responses.

Our performers say:

“Harmony Army makes me feel part of a team”

“Music has made me realise that I can communicate my feelings in different ways”

“Studio Fix has given me so much confidence and has provided so many opportunities”

We are extremely proud of our successes showing that talent, hard work and dedication is both enjoyable and achievable.  May our journey continue!
